The Greater Toronto Area, otherwise known as the GTA, is home to thousands of dining experiences. From the French cuisine of Scaramouche to Johnny's famous burgers, the possibilities are endless. Yet, buried deep in Toronto, are culinary gems. Here are some of the best underrated restaurants in the GTA:
Vi Pei Bistro
Since 2008, it has been a "go to" for all times of day. With a classic European Bistro menu, and a pledge to fresh healthy foods. Vi Pei is a hit. Although their locations are in the East end, Critics claim that it is "worth the trip." My personal favourite has to be the Santa Fe omelette.
Union Social Eatery
Even though the Union Social Eatery is a chain restaurant and has locations spread all over North America, the Mississauga location is a must. With a good price range, and an upbeat urban environment, the Union Social Eatery really raises the bar for restaurants in Mississauga. Not only have they achieved a Certificate of Excellence, but they are amongst the top ten dining spots Mississauga.
'G' for Gelato and Espresso Bar
Located on Jarvis, this restaurant is well known throughout the community. With over twenty different gelato flavors, scrumptious desserts and their rebound pizza, this gelato parlor has earned recognition from all over the world. Not only is the food great, but numerous reviews elaborate on the friendly and warm service they receive.
These are my top three of the week! Check in next week for more great restaurants located in the GTA!
Hi Maria! Will we soon be seeing a "bad eats" blog? I suppose it's just as important to know which places to avoid.
ReplyDeleteOn it!
DeleteGreat post! Vi Pei Bistro looks like a good place. I agree with my friend Leacock. It'd be great to see places to avoid.
ReplyDeleteSounds Good! Will do!
ReplyDeleteOh wow, reading this made me want to get out of my house and bus to Vi Pei Bistro! I really think that this was interesting, I also would love if you could make the Top 5 of Thai restaurants in Toronto. That would be amazing, I do love Thai!
ReplyDeleteGreat suggestion! It'll be a great insight for me being that I have very little knowledge about Thai food!
DeleteWhen is Mama Cora gonna open her restaurant?
ReplyDeleteIt's a work in progress :)
DeleteWill definitely be trying these places out in the next little while. Thanks for sharing!
